The former Broadway Motel, originally built in 1957, has been fully converted into 35 units of permanent supportive housing specifically for Veterans with Veteran Affairs Supportive Housing vouchers. These homes serve Veterans experiencing chronic homelessness and earning less than 30% of the area median income. Step Up provides wraparound services, case management, and property management to support residents in achieving long-term stability.
The extensive conversion included structural and safety upgrades, full ADA compliance, a new roof, plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and other improvements. Each unit now features updated flooring and kitchenettes, creating safe, modern homes for Veterans.
